audio interface or sound card? [PC]
I own presonus eris 4.5 bt and to add 8bt subwoofer from the same brand.
also thinking about adding a sound card, can scarlett solo be considered as sound card for giving good audio output for gaming/hi-res music? or is its purpose only for audio interface and recording? saw it commonly used as a pair for studio monitors and if it can serve as a sound card i also have the option to use it for my mic(only for comms).
asking for suggestions, if theres better choice and a bit cheaper than scarlett solo, since there are features that i wouldnt even be using in the mentioned audio interface.
- can only use external since my pcie slots are already occupied
- only purpose is for gaming/music and not planning to record audio/music
- saw some recommendations of sound cards, qudelix 5k, sound blaster play 4 etc. but it might also be better to get something that also offers an interface for mic
posting here since r./pcsound looks pretty much a dead sub.
