Can't buy from blacksmith

I can't buy from the blacksmith Kikdrad.I have plenty of gold and plenty of space in my personal inventory. When I try to drag and drop from his inventory, nothing happens. I've tried everything from adjusting touch settings on my phone to reinstalling the app. It has never worked, and I've been playing for about a week. Any help would be appreciated.
