Spotting

Okay so this might sound dumb but I’m new to using birth control, I am on week 3 on the pill and since Thursday I started off having brown spotting but today is Sunday and I am having cramps and the spotting has gotten a little heavier and pink. Is this normal? And if it is will it last awhile?
