Medication Gap - Lower dosage?

I forgot two 15mg shots at my friends house about 5 hours away. The coupon won't cover a gap dosage, so it looks like I am going to go 14days+ before my next dose. When I have had a late dose before (not this long), I have gotten really nauseated when I had my next shot. I'm thinking about asking my doctor for a lower dosage to start on again to minimize side effects. Has anyone done this or have any advice? I can deal with the nausea if that is best, but would like the opportunity to see if there is a lower effective dose. Thanks!
