New refrigerator starts up when plugged in, but within a couple minutes trips the GFCI
As said in the title. This refrigerator was delivered yesterday. We plugged it in and set the temperatures, but a few minutes later the GFCI tripped, which of course shut off the fridge. This fridge is in our garage, (it is a garage-ready fridge) and is on a dedicated 20A circuit that was installed for this purpose. I'm not sure why it has a GFCI, the other outlets in the garage do not have GFCI outlets. I'm trying to get both appliance service and a consult with an electrician tomorrow, but was hoping maybe someone here has an idea about what is going on....thanks.
