Was Optic actually worth implementing

This is a first job and I’ve only been here since May so I’ve never known how gap scanning works bc obviously optic has something to do with gaps and ordering stock but I feel like Optic is a waste of money. This whole compliance rate and having to get over a certain percentage just makes it so much worse. I do it with a colleague and for us, when it hits 4:45 we just clear everything or face over bc how have we got the time to search for 10 things back in the warehouse while completing another 10 tasks. I think it really messes with stock records bc if there’s something that’s still in the stock record but I cant find it I obviously clear it but then have the stress that managers can see I’m clearing so much stock which is apparently in the store and it makes me worried that I’m messing with stock counts and records. I know I probably shouldn’t be worrying about this but I get stressed outttt Hopefully some people can relate to this
