AITAH for hiding from my family my beliefs and sexual orientation

Under 18 (ages 13 to 17)

I will get a lot of hate for this but anyway

I'm F17, and my family are monotheist (I won't say which religion) they're not strict but they're not tolerant either. I've been doubting my religion since long ago and I sometimes lived with constant fear of going to hell for even daring to doubt. (Just to avoid misunderstandings : I don't have religious trauma either, and I'm not forced to do anything against my will)

I recently discovered I'm not straight, I won't say what I am exactly but I'm basicaly attracted by multiple genders, which of course is a sin in this religion, or at least not allowed. One of my parents is completely homophobic, which is something I can't blame them for because they grew up with conservative cultures, my other parent started to accept the existante of LGBTQ+ community and tries to understand but they would often tell me "Don't bring me a she/they" in a cheerfull tone, so yeah, can't tell them. My friends would ask me what I'll do if I find someone who isn't a man, and honestly I don't know..

My second secret is my beliefs, as I said I doubted the religion since young. I recently discovered the hellenism polytheism (don't hesitate to correct me if this isn't the correct term) for those who don't know, it's basicaly believing in Greek Gods (Zeus, Hera, Athena,...). Now the next sentence might seem puzzling for some people so I don't blame you if you'll be confused : I actually don't believe in this religion either. I know the point of following a religion is when you believe in it but I think that you must only follow your religion if it brings you peace, which is my case when I think about some of the Gods and Goddesses, I even plan to make some altars to feel connections with them. And of course, I can't tell this to my family either.

So yeah, basicaly life sucks, don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any, I'll try to be honest with myself 💖
