COTA shuttle question- downtown Austin

Hello! I’ve done COTA the past 2 years and the shuttle last year to the civic center was horrible. I am looking for advice on if the downtown Austin option is better. I know it will be a pain either way I’m just not trying to sit on a school bus wheel hump for 3 hours again.
