My labrador just won't get along with my cat

So it's been almost 6-7 months since I got my cat and surprisingly he has been more proactive in bonding with my Labrador, at first he wouldn't react to him but now everytime my cat approaches him, he just growls or barks at him. How do I make them both get along?
