Unsure about my diagnosis

I (25F) just got diagnosed with Hashimoto's and PCOS. My doctor says it's very early stages but both my mother and grandfather have Hashimoto's so I guess it makes sense. My thyroid is slightly enlarged but my TSH, T4 & T3 levels are normal (I think).

TSH: 1.96 mIU/L

Free T4: 13.2 pmol/L

Free T3: 3.6 pmol/L

Anti-TPO <15

Thyroglobulin antibodies 27 kIU/L

She wants me to start with 25mcg of Synthroid (and increase from there) but before doing that I'm just trying to get some more information from anyone who might understand thyroid conditions. I don't love the idea of taking Synthroid, and I'm told that once I do, it'll likely be for life.

Any insight would be appreciated :)
