Landscaping Ideas?

I know this is a long shot, but do any photoshop gurus with landscaping or architecture experience have ideas for this depressing backyard? I would love to do wide steps leading down to a stone patio, but the basement door is a huge obstacle. I also tried to photoshop in the glass doors on the right side because it is currently covered with wood, so that's why it looks a bit strange.
