Can I use old TV cabling to carry a 433mhz signal?

Hi, I have these funny cat collars that communicate with the homestate via 433mhz RF. The suggestion is to place the homestation as high as possible in the house, but you also use the homestation to charge the collars so you don't want to stick them in the attic.

The previous owners of my house had coaxial cables go through to most rooms from the attic (the Sky TV box was connected to this splitter in the attic and then about 8 cables go from the splitter box to many rooms in the house). So, I was wondering whether plugging a suitable 433mhz aerial into one end of a cable in the cable in the attic and then connection the homestation to the other end would work? I'd just go ahead try it out but the connectors are different (the cat homestation has a twisty thing attachment, which looks similar to coaxial but a but smaller), so I'd have to probably try about ten connectors until I found the right one.
