PCS/May Thurner surgery debacle

I recently had a venagram (sp?) to confirm may Thurner and pcs. I have 67% compression on my iliac. My insurance company (UHC) will not cover an embolism because they say that it’s ’experimental’. My doctor said that they could put a stent in but that it only has a 50% chance of actually helping either issue (but 50% chance of improving my POTS as well) and would require me to be on blood thinners for life.

My worst symptom of PCS is urinary urgency. I’ve had several times where I have almost had an accident on the way to the bathroom and I also wake up 2-3 times a night to urinate which is hard as I already have fatigue and hypersomnia. But I rarely have abdominal pain and have no leg problems as of yet.

I don’t know what to do and was hoping that I could hear experiences of other who have had the stent but not embolism, who have similar percentages of compression or even those who have POTS to see what, if any, improvement looks like. I’m struggling with this decision.

Tia!
