Automatic Replacement Question: "No Type"

I'm trying to set up automatic replacement. Have watched a couple of videos but still not clear on everything.

If I have vehicles that don't have a good replacement yet, if I set it to "No Type" does it simply scrap the vehicles without replacing them, or does it ignore those with "No Type" set and I just keep repairing them with my maintenance yards? Thanks.
