I'm thinking about buying a single night ticket and was wondering if I can upgrade to Frequent fear the night I go

When I upgrade that day will they take the 86 dollars off the frequent fear? Im just trying to figure out how to budget and figure out if it's smarter to just flat out buy or still save up some more
