A Call for Creative Mediation: Support the Artists of NewJeans [and the process of mediation]

Most of you may not know NewJeans — a South Korean girl group that has become one of the most artistically acclaimed and commercially successful acts in global pop music today. In just two years, they've broken streaming records, sold millions of albums, and earned widespread praise for their fresh sound and authentic image.

Unfortunately, their future is now uncertain due to a bitter leadership dispute between their parent company HYBE and the creative who has been guiding the development of the group. A court has ordered all parties to begin mediation on August 14.

We've launched a Change.org petition urging HYBE, ADOR, Min, and the NJZ members to approach this process in good faith and find a creative path forward that prioritizes the well-being and unity of the artists as well as all stakeholders.

If you believe mediation can protect what matters most — the people at the center — please read and consider signing to give the petition a chance to be seen. As it is, many subreddits seem to thrive on the conflict and don't want to support calls for solutions.
