HELP! It sounds so fake. What do I add/change?

Workshop

I cradle him softly in my arms,
A maternal warmth, a guiding light,

His presence feels tangible, close,
A tender, fleeting, human grace,

He leans in, curious,
drawn by the warmth I offer—

I chase the fleeting touch, the near embrace,
Lost in the shadows of earthly needs.

In my pursuit to bring him near,
I forget the closeness I once knew—
the silent, sacred whisper that dwells
not in words or outward acts,
but in a stillness only I can feel.

I reach for him softly—
a whisper of hope in trembling hands,
offering fragments of light,
pieces of a love I think he needs—
a whisper of Jesus’ name

I find myself caught
in the space between giving and losing,
my voice a bridge I think I build,
yet sometimes become the wall.

Oh, Mother of mercy, mend my sight—

Let my heart beat with His gentle rhythm,
Closer than the grasp of mortal hands,

Now I stand at the edge of the outward—
arms reaching, words urging—

I wonder if I’ve become a mirror—
reflecting his longing,

a faint echo of the love I once knew,
fading in the shadows of my desire to save.

And in the quiet after the effort—
a whisper:
sometimes, to truly draw near,
we must first step back,
and let the path lead us home
through the darkness we have tried to illuminate.
