A simple remainder is that this post is not for offending fellow Dogris and fellow Lower Himachalis, But it's for information only.
One thing I've noticed from past that cultures of Lower Himachal and Upper Himachal seemed very different like in Upper Himachal we can find several local deities and their shamans (gur, mali/chela) the differences between languages and much more. And one thing I've noticed that cultures and languages of lower Himachalis are same as like Punjabis also dogras too share their culture like Punjabis. Now having similar culture doesn't mean they were Punjabis no even the cultures and languages of Bengalis and Assamese also look same but actually it's not both have different origins Bengalis are descended from Indo Aryans, Austro-asiatic tribes and Dravidian tribes while Assamese descended from Indo Aryans, Tibeto-Burmans and Tai people (Ahom community) but they share same culture and language because of historical contexts like migrations, trade, cultural exchanges both their languages evolved from magadhi prakrit like Kamarupa dynasty was extended to Bangladesh. Now back to Lower Himachal and Dogras of Jammu such things also happened like they were also descendants of native Khasas like Assamese but here historical contexts made their culture and language similar to Punjabi like districts of Lower Himachal like Bilaspur, Kangra and Una share borders with Punjab also Jammu also shares border with Punjab region of Pakistan as well as also with Punjab state of India and in past they were ruled by trigarta Dynasty which was extended towards Punjab also Katochs succeeded it their dynasty too is extended from Punjab, Kangra, Bilaspur, Jammu, Una, Hamirpur till the frontiers of Uttarakhand they were present and later a major power succeeded known as Sikh Empire which ruled from Jammu and Kashmir to Lower Himachal to Punjab and even parts of Modern day Pakistan and Afghanistan. Thanks to border sharing and these empires historical events like cultural exchanges, migrations, trade happened which led to a mixture of different cultures combining into one thus the culture may seem punjabi at first glance but it's not Punjabi by origins at all. And even all of the North Indian languages from Punjabi to Pahadi to Nepali to Hindi were all evolved from Shaurasena Prakrit or Apabhramsha Lipi. And both Lower Himachalis also have some sort of same culture like upper himachalis like they worship Goga Jahaveer, baba balaknath, naar singh etc and believe in stuffs like spirit possession etc. Also same Dogris too believe this they also perform karak a folk song done by drums where they sing the tale of gods and due to this ritual spirit possession occurs even Dogris living at hilly areas of Jammu have literally same culture like other Pahadis locally known as Jatra where chela (shamans) of devta got possessed and performs divination like seen in the video I've sent. That ritual is known as Jatra prolly and this jatra is from Reasi Jammu and one thing which unites Pahadis from Jammu to frontiers of Nepal which is Takri script! The script which is used for Central Pahadi Languages like Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsari also used by Upper Himachalis like Kulluvi, Mahasuvi, Mandyali, Chambyali, Pangwali, Sirmauri and Rohru and even also used by Dogris and Lower Himachalis this script unified every pahadi.
