How I could move on?

I’ll try to summarize it. A year ago, I started singing in a choir. After a few months, I started noticing a guy (I don’t really know how to explain it, but one day we looked at each other and I felt a kind of intuition), but he seemed pretty unreachable and we had barely exchanged a few words.

Shortly after, we had a party, and that night this guy kept looking at me, trying to dance with me, grabbing me by the waist, but nothing else happened. After that, I thought: 'Maybe he’s interested in me,' so I looked for a way to meet up with him. During a group dinner, he mentioned he wanted to see a movie that I also wanted to see, so we arranged to go together. When we left the movie, while walking toward the metro, he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close to him for a few seconds, but again, nothing more.

Since we both like movies, we decided to go see another one. I decided I needed to show some interest, so during the film, I rested my head on his shoulder, but he didn’t react at all. During the credits, he kept his eyes on me for a long time, but I froze, and again nothing happened. We walked together for 30 minutes, talking nonstop (we have a lot in common). He walked me to the metro, and just as I was going down the stairs, I got a message from him asking to hang out again.

So the third time, since there weren’t any interesting movies showing, we agreed to meet at a bar in my neighborhood. While we were walking there, we ran into a girl from the choir (I had NEVER bumped into anyone from choir around there, because rehearsals are in a faraway neighborhood). Both of them acted a little awkwardly, but he seemed very uncomfortable. In the end, we said goodbye to her and went to the bar. We sat on an outdoor terrace, and it started to rain. I asked if he wanted to head home (since we’d been talking for 3 hours nonstop), and he said he wanted to keep talking inside. In the end, I walked him to the metro. That day, nothing happened either, and for some reason, he seemed much colder.

A few days later, I sent him a message about a movie I wanted to see, and he didn't reply for 10 days. I didn’t understand his reaction, so I sent a voice message saying something like: ‘I find it hard to read people’s intentions, but I thought you were interested in me, and I was interested in you, but if you don’t want to keep meeting up, I’d rather you tell me.’ He replied saying that when we hung out, he saw it more as a friendship, but that the day we were at the bar he felt something more, so he preferred to clarify things. I thought he was friendzoning me, so I told him I was sorry for misinterpreting his intentions. A few weeks later, we saw each other at choir again, and I started noticing he was being very affectionate with the girl we had run into that day when I was around. I found out that they had hooked up a year ago (I didn’t know before), but she had ended it because she thought he was immature. Apparently, she is currently seeing someone else and has no intentions to hook up again with him. A friend of a friend of mine also had an affair with him and, talking to her, she explained to me that he had a very strange way of showing his intentions.

Una amiga de una amiga mía también estuvo enrollada con él y, hablándolo con ella, me explico que tenía una forma muy rara de mostrar sus intenciones.

Anyway, this guy and I went one time after that to the cinema together (and he keeps telling me that he wants to keep doing so) and we talk during choir rehearsals (most of the time, he's the one that looks for me and starts conversations). In a few weeks, some of the choir (including myself, but not him) have organized a party, inviting the rest of the group. Last week, in the rehearsal, he asked me what day it was, showing interest in going. The truth is that even though I think he’s friend-zoned me, I can’t stop thinking about him. I’ve been on dates with other guys, but with none of them have I felt the genuine connection I feel with him, and I didn't have more than one date with any of them (because I didn't want to). I can’t stop hoping that maybe something will happen with this guy. However, this thought is stopping me from moving on and from starting to feel interested in other people. I really don't know what to do, so all advice is welcome.
