Visiting Addis Ababa during Ethiopian Christmas?

Hi all!

I am a solo traveler who is planning to climb Kilimanjaro for New Years Eve. I am currently looking into exploring Addis Ababa for the first time, since there is a direct flight by Ethiopian to my base area. I also just discovered about Ethiopian Christmas, which is celebrated on January 7. The dates would probably align well, and I really hope to be able to experience such a unique holiday, based on the few videos I've seen.

Is it a good idea to visit Addis Ababa during this time? Or anywhere else in the country I should consider? (Although I imagine it might be pretty busy). Anything I should consider or check out if I'm visiting Addis Ababa/Ethiopia during this time of the year?
