Anyone else still having problems with the new YA codes?

Went to my local PO just now with a 48 Tracked parcel, and was told that while the machine will scan "these parcels" it won't print receipts! At least I got a receipt on Saturday, so the situation is actually getting worse rather than better. What am I supposed to supply as proof of posting if the parcel disappears? Going to the next available PO to try my luck is £3 each way in bus fares, and I can't afford to do this three or four times a week...
