Just realized my mom quit her cancer treatment in order to be able to celebrate my 16th birthday, and passed away 4 months later as a result.

She aggressively tried to hide this fact and I only now as an adult found this out (through old documents) and it destroyed me.

I now realize why my dad and so many other family members resented me/still do till this day.
