I thought my daily job alerts were broken, turns out there's just no jobs

Made redundant 10 months ago, corporate affairs, east coast, was on $135 + super. In the role for 2 years after the pandemic killed my business. No real payout unfortunately

I've landed 2 interviews in 10 months, one ghosted, one didn't progress

I used to get daily job alert emails from sites like Seek. I didn't notice that in the last couple of months the daily emails became every second or third day. I realised today I hadn't received a job alert email in 6 days and thought they were broken or going to spam. Nope. Turns out there's just been no new listings in my saved search categories for 6 days

It's grim out there folks. Didn't think I'd be moving back in with the olds at 35 and applying for centrelink (1.5 months still waiting)

I haven't stacked shelves in almost 20 years but it would probably be better than centrelink which I had no idea was so low - $781/fortnight before tax

My gut says this isn't a temporary dip in the economy
