Mice in detached garage 🐁

Hey all, trying to mitigate a rodent problem with a detached garage. Been dealing with an issue and slowly seems to be getting resolved. I noticed some droppings when cleaning out the garage and after thoroughly cleaning the garage and sealing off visible entry points I’m still getting mice in the left most corner of the garage. I see droppings along the right forward part of the footing along the left wall but they stop and I’m no longer seeing droppings all around the perimeter like it was. This leads me to believe I’m slowly solving the issue. My question is, how harmful is it if I put a poison out to help mitigate the rodent population in this garage area? We see cats lurking the neighborhood and there are some decent sized hawks I’ve seen picking these bastards off so I don’t want to use poison if it’s going to harm the predator animals. I’m not finding nests in the garage so it seems the mice are coming in at night for safety and then heading out about their business at dawn. The garage is not dilapidated but the front 2 doors don’t seal all the way I know a rodent can squeeze through it. My next step is to go around the perimeter with foam sealant to seal off anything I missed on that left front corner.
