Men don’t enjoy being men.

I feel like so many guys straight up lie to everyone and themselves about how much they actually enjoy being male/ being a man. I think being big, hairy and gross is just something that makes them feel tough, not something they actually enjoy. There’s exceptions to every rule, but I think this applies to a lot more men than are willing to admit. Physically being male is just uncomfortable. Am I really supposed to believe that having rough skin is more comfortable than soft/ smooth skin? That having stubble is more comfortable than a clean face? That being so tall you awkwardly stand above everyone in your life is more comfortable than being just a bit shorter? That wearing the same few boring pair of clothes is more fun than the variety of clothing expression that women are socially allowed? I genuinely think men secretly prefer being called pretty over handsome, because handsome sounds like something your grandma condescendingly says while pinching your cheek. Point is, I think men really force themselves into their social roles more than they will ever admit. (Yes I am a man, for context). What do you guys think? Women, have you noticed this? Guys, do you feel the same?
