[HELP] I launched my first ad campaign on Google Ads to promote my agency

Hey folks, quick question for the pros here
I just launched my first ad campaign yesterday and I'm wondering: should I start with manual CPC to control spend and gather some data first, then switch to smart bidding later?

One of my keywords is eating up a big chunk of my daily budget, and I’m not sure if smart bidding is the right move this early.
