How does TRT affect ADHD and discipline?

TRT help

45 year old struggling with ADHD and discipline. Been taking various stimulant medication (adderall etc) for over 5 years. Sometimes it helps with focus, but it doesn’t help me focus on the right things. I still avoid doing the hard things that are critical. For instance, even on the highest recommended doses of extended release Adderall I still managed to be 9 years behind on my tax returns. It’s not until I’m pushed to the brink do I finally react and do something about the problem. I’ve suspected that my real problem is low T for a few years and have been getting my T tested. It ranges from 290 to low 400 and my primary care physician has always said it’s fine. I don’t agree and I think I should give TRT a try. I’m hesitant because I feel like if I did all the right things I could naturally bring up testosterone and fix myself, but I can’t even get my ass out of bed to hit the gym or go for a run. Question is, if I start TRT, will I just start feeling like I can tackle the hard tasks I’ve been avoiding? Or will I need to do hard stuff first (workout, get disciplined etc) to make TRT effective?
