Getting new characters as new player is really slow

I started at the very end of Ju Fufu banner (I only got Ceasar). I then pulled both Miyabi and Yuzuha on their banners, and randomly got Rina, Nekomata and Soldier 11. All my others are A lolies or furries.

I have no W-engine but to be fair I'm way too novice to understand or feel what they do. I just want to enjoy gameplay, story and waifus.

Starting this game late feels like missing the party. All those cool looking agents locked behind waiting wall. I know it's "Fear Of Missing Out" marketing but I feel like it's just "Missing Out" as new player.

I missed Yixuan and Astra banner, so now I have to wait for a full rotation of all agents to hope pulling them?
