Would you entertain a (brand new) 9060XT 8GB at $224+tax?

Title - I understand the 8gb cards are trash/e-waste/bad/other negative adjective when it’s (supposed to be) just $50 less than the 16gb variants. Goes for both 5060Ti and 9060XT.

Would that still apply for you if you could get a 9060XT 8GB for $224+tax brand new? The “next step up” for the 16GB is $100-150 more, or going 5060Ti 8/16GB also costs more.

Looking at used cards a 3070 at $200-250 is rare, and the AMD equivalent seem around that price too.

Asking for a friend’s build, monitor is 1080p, almost exclusively Esports/low intensity games if and when he plays anything. Planning to pair with the 7600x bundle from Microcenter
