Is the decline in spending habits/footfall in pubs, nightclubs & takeaways a change in consumer behaviour or cost of living?
My social media feed has been inundated with articles claiming that these types of business are quiet and/or “dying” and I’ve seen numerous TikTok’s from takeaway owners and pup landlords filming how quiet their premises are.
Initially I thought that it was due to the economy but also wondered if there had been a change in behaviours towards more healthier choices - so many people I know are going sober, for example. Especially with the rise in weight loss injections also.
Or is it just social media making it seem worse than it actually is? Genuinely interested to hear.
