Thank you all so much!

Solved!

Hey there. I dont think this is the correct sub, but I read so much in this sub the last few days to solve my PC-Problems that I want to post it here.

In December 2021 I bouht myself a new PC and since it was the time where buying a whole PC was literally cheaper than building one yourself I bought one online, simple thing: B550-A-Pro, 3070, 5600X, 16GB DDR4 (now 32GB), beQuiet Pure Rock 2.

Since Day 1 that thing was hot, and I mean HOT.
I have no Idea about actually building a PC, back then I had even less, so when The CPU went over 80°C when gaming I googled and it sounded like that was just normal for 5600X, even though I didnt even Overclock it.

Ive basically lived with it being this hot, since I dont play a lot of games anyway I guess it didnt really effect me too much, I cant explain otherwise why I didnt do anything about it ever, except that I am terrified of touching the inside of my PC since an incident in 2015 when I was young.

A few days ago a friend of mine wanted to play a new game with me (Avatar:FOP) and I said sure .. the problem is that my CPU was literally going to 90°C and the GPU to ~82-84°C (thermothrottling?) at 75 FPS lowest settings ..

I finally decided that I have to do something, so I read online (mostly here) for days on what to do next, but it was clear what I had to do: Go and check my thermal paste, something I have never done before since I was terrified to break something like back then.

Ive read a lot of posts on this sub on how to approach this safely (Ground yourself, dont pull instead rotate the cooler, be careful since the AM4 sockets dont hold the Chip securely etc.) and ordered a tube of Arctic MX-4, which arrived today.

Before changing the thermal paste I did something else that I read a lot about on this sub and I also dreaded - going into the bios and changing shit, specifically undervolting.
I had no Idea what to do and looked for information, where I found a YT-Video this (I think Im allowed to link it?) and followed it to the best of my ability, which was fine since my bios looks about the same, put the Optimizer Magnitude to 30 which my PC didnt like, so I dialed it back to 20 and voila:

I did a Cinebench R23 after undervolting (I did one before aswell but forgot to save the numbers)

MC: 10520 at 75°C CPU temp, while at 4,40 GHZ
SC: 1462 at 60°C CPU temp 4,6GHz

I was literally blown away!
After that I changed the thermal paste, and guess what: The guy at the company who built the PC literally only put thermal paste on half the damn thing, like wtf?
I made some pictures, but I dont know how to add them here.

I did another Cinebench:
MC: 10806 at 67°C CPU Temp, 4,45GHz
SC: 1529 at 51°C CPU temp, 4,6GHz

Now I can play Avatar on Medium/high settings at 90 FPS at a nice and safe temperature, while enjoying the game so much more, my PC is idling at 39°C while Im writing this, before it wouldve been at ~55-60°C while doing nothing ..

I still have some questions that I need to find answers for:

-Why does my GPU now also run sooo much cooler after doing that stuff? Was is the hot air of the CPU that warmed up the GPU?
-I read a lot of people saying that they set a 200MHz boost somewhere in the PBO, should I do that aswell?
-How could I live 4 years with this space heater in my living room?

Anyway, thank you all tooooo much for your help, much appreciated!
