Cold feet, unprepared..

I have my preop scheduled next week, surgery week after. I was hoping to reschedule for a different day so the person driving me wouldnt have to take a day off work but they only do surgeries on specific days.. also kinda wanted it to be a later date. idk if I should just have my preop and see how I feel. Has anyone had a preop and then waited longer? Would I need another preop?

Even then I havent called insurance or taken days off for work yet. I feel bad I already rescheduled once, I worry if I keep rescheduling or just cancel it to wait longer then I won't be able to or this doctor won't approve me again even though it was a very easy consult.

I'm just scared with it being elective, and maybe now isn't the best time for me and it'd be easier if I didn't live with my parents. I feel like such a wimp.
