Piece comparison??

I’m currently auditioning for this music competition, and I’m almost done with the piece I chose to play: Sonneto 104 by Liszt. But after I viewed recent winners of the competition, I feel like the Sonetto isn’t on the same difficulty level as what other competitors are playing (they’re playing Chopin Ballades, Beethoven Op. 49). Should I still go with the Sonetto and play it exceptionally well (I hope), or should I switch pieces?
