Xeon kit - system freezes, nothing works anymore, only turning off the power supply. Please help me
How are you guys?
have a Xeon kit.
2630 V4
2x8GB Kllisre
X99 P4 from ZSUS
I've always played Warzone, RDR2, and Cyberpunk 2077 for hours on end, and never had any problems. I downloaded PUBG and noticed that sometimes it takes 3 hours right from the start, the PC freezes, the keyboard doesn't work, the mouse doesn't work, and if there's sound at the time, the sound gets stuck. The only solution is to turn off the power supply.
I've tested the power supply.
I've tested the GPU.
I've tested the RAM.
I've stressed my computer with several programs, and none of them make the screen freeze, except for a memory test external to Windows, the famous MEMTEST86, with a bootable USB drive. The test at 16% freezes my PC, just like playing PUBG.
I've come to the conclusion that the problem is likely due to compatibility. I found some foreign forums about updating my x99's BIOS to a modified one that already has MEM Fix and CPU Fix. I didn't find much information, but it seems other people have had this issue with similar setups.
I tried disabling ECC support in the BIOS, which crashed at lower speeds, but nothing worked.
It's funny that this doesn't happen in other, more demanding games. PUBG must access parts of the memory that only an external Windows test, MEMTEST86, can access.
So, does anyone know anything about these small kits and RAM compatibility in the system with these MOBAs?
