Earfun Air Pro 4 Question

Did they just update these buds or the app (android) to make them no longer work for single bud mode?? It was literally the best part of these earbuds is that I can still use my custom touch controls and NC / Passive modes with just one bud in which is how I wear buds 90% of the time. How do I un-update this change? Last two months up till even 11pm last night they worked great, now I have to have both out of the case to access the majority of their features. Lame.
