Perfume magic... I guess...

In a world where psychic powers exist, there are very few means to unlock the brain and achieve them. A handful are born able to use this magic and the rest are out of luck. Unless.

Perfumes are alchemical potions that are specifically used to activate certain parts of the brain in tandem to allow for this magic to be accessed. Different smells activate different powers essentially. If you cross too many powers though, the powers will get diluted.

There are three bases for Perfumes. Water, alcohol, and blood. These don't determine the smell, but they do affect the power.

Blood Perfumes for example activate more volitile powers. Psychic blasts or vorpal words. But when using water, a kinder base, one gains access to telekinesis and mending abilities.

Perfumes are not just their base but also their ingredients. Some are more complex than others. But overall this is a system for the intelligent and learned.
