FPS impact on wheel base

So, I’ve recently updated my pc which has meant I’ve had a substantial increase in FPS whole racing. Since I’ve upgrade I have noticed my base (R9v2)tends to run a bit warmer than it did for the 1st 24 months I had it with my old GPU.

Just wondering if there is a correlation with higher FPS to the work rate of the base?
