Front garden fence due to neighbour issues?
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I need a bit of an outsider perspective.
We live in a semi-detached house, with an open plot of grass as the front garden. For about a year now our neighbors kids and their friends use the entire plot as a football field. So every day I have 8 screaming children in my front garden, kicking a ball against our windows, door, car, and it is driving me crazy. I can’t even be in my living room because it has reached a point where I stress about it so much. It doesn’t help that it also stresses out my dog, and frequently wakes up my two month old baby. They don’t play in any other kids’ gardens, just our neighbours and ours. Everyone in the street has a large garden, and we are next to a park, so it’s not like they have nowhere else to go.
I’ve spoken to the neighbors, but we’ve had many issues with them over the years, and they just don’t care. Would it be an overreaction to put up a small fence around our side? Only one other house in our street has a front garden fence/wall, and they’re a corner house, so I’m afraid it’ll look off to potential future buyers (we are planning on moving as soon as we can, mainly because of our neighbours)
