Best MakeMKV Alternative Software?

I need to burn a DVD by tomorrow and (like many others) have been unable to get the BETA working for MakeMKV or be able to make a license purchase from their website due to unknown reasons. That said, what is the second best option for making MKVs out of DVDs? I am willing to pay. Thanks for your help.
