What level of armor can Kroot wear comfortably well

I want to kitbash some extra tau armor bits I got onto some of my kroot models to help fit them in a little with my battlesuit army. However I don’t want it to stray too far from lore kroot and I know that since they excrete from their skin that full body armor is uncomfortable. So I have to ask what amount of armor can kroot wear from general fire caste armor?
