[RANT] Regular Rolex Customer in India ; AD Playing Games, Selling to Resellers!
Hi everyone,
I’ve been a customer of a Rolex AD here in India, I’ve made a purchase before and was told that I’d be prioritized for future models thanks to my purchase history.
However, I’ve now been waiting for over 6 months for a pretty common Rolex model. Every time I check in, I’m told there are no watches available, and the staff has become increasingly distant and unresponsive. This treatment feels more in line with what first-time buyers experience, not someone who has supported them before.
Now here’s the real kicker: a reseller recently offered me the exact same watch, and claimed it could even be sourced directly from the same AD I’ve been dealing with! Obviously, the reseller is asking for a steep premium -meaning the AD is likely offloading watches to the grey market, instead of offering them to legitimate customers like me.
This raises serious questions: • Why build a “purchase history” if it means nothing? • How are these resellers getting watches when official customers are being told there’s no stock? • Is this AD just another front for a grey market operation?
Has anyone else faced similar issues with ADs? Any advice on what can be done?
