Beijing (PEK) seven-hour layover: free hotel or lounge?

Hi all,

I’m flying London to Tokyo via Beijing, and I have a seven-hour layover. I qualify for either a free transit hotel stay or free Air China lounge access for the layover, but not both.

A hotel sounds lovely, but I also wonder if it’s worth it by the time I sort out the transfer, etc. then turn around and have to go through security etc. for my connecting flight, whereas the lounge would probably be less pleasant (I’m assuming?) but for more time.

Which would you choose?
