[M4F] Everyone loves a good ballad, right?
After a particularly fun weekend where I spent considerable time working music at parties, I realized just how many good outlines for plots were sitting at my fingertips to explore. I highly encourage collaboration in formulating of characters, setting and plot, so come ready with your thinking cap on.
Lawyers, Guns and Money: A gambler on the run in South America. After winning a few hands of blackjack at a Casino in Cold War Havana, the cocktail waitress took note of my hot hand. But, when I brought her up to my hotel room, it turned out she was with the Russians and I myself was about to be in hot water. There's international incident written all over this, who do I run into on the run from the KGB?
If she wants a cowboy: I graduated high school and immediately went to work on a highway crew in the Austin city limits. It wasn't much, but it was honest work and paid enough to have something resembling a life. But, the night we accidentally crossed paths, I couldn't help but be smitten. So, in my stubborn insistence that I wanted to be around, I picked up a pair of poser boots and a hat. You weren't sure if it was cute or pathetic.
Summertime Blues: For us locals, summer is really the only exciting time around here. There's enough part time shifts and work to make enough to pay for the offseason. Me, I was born here and I'm gonna die here. The world seems really small when people from "the real world" only visit at certain times of the year, it's a playground for the rich and famous. This doomed romance has a finite timeline, but for the two months you're in the Hamptons, it could be fun.
Nine Ball: I've never seen you in the dive before tonight. Any other night, I would've just let it go, but I was at least curious. The stakes, really simple, if I win a game of pool, I get your number, if you win, I pay for you and all your friend's drinks the rest of the night. What's one game ?
Drunk on a plane: Everyone thought I was insane. Who goes on the honeymoon after the wedding gets called off? But, sure enough, here I was on the flight to the Maldives with a printed out picture of my now ex-fiance taped to the empty, already paid for seat next to me. Are you a member of the flight crew? A morbidly curious woman on the flight to paradise on earth?
Tennessee Orange: I'm a small time country recording artist, you're even lower down the label food chain. We connect over our music but have one small hiccup, I root for the University of Tennessee and you were a sorority president at the University of Georgia. Sure, a little friendly rivalry never hurt anyone, but I'm sure you didn't expect to have such a good time at Neyland with me.
6 months later: We both agreed to end things. There were too many problems to keep going forward without going insane. Work, money and stress all accumulated exponentially in our small place. While breaking up was absolutely the right move for our respective sanity, here I am debating reaching back out just to see how you're doing.
