my cat is moving back with me, need advice asap
I'm 20 , and my family has a large history of moving places with our black kitty, (today 9 yo) , specifically 4 house across various cities.
last time being last year, I stayed while my family moved back , and they brought the cat with them . because my mom's job requires her to move a lot, he stayed at my grandma's, the person he trusts and loves the most (he loathes my mom, loves me but it's like He imprinted on my granny), but because she is getting old, we are considering that my cat moved back at my house this fall.
I'm very worried because he's a very adaptable cat, and has never showed many signs of distress in changing houses or taking long car/ train rides, but I'm afraid he'll feel sad or in distress not seeing my grandma anymore :(.
I want advice in regard to making it so that he is the most comfortable emotionally possible, and on techniques on how to improve our bond .
I Was thinking of the basics (providing him with lots of toys and entertainment, more high quality food as I used to do when I lived with him, water fountain, sheets with the smell of my grandma's house and such, but I'd like to know the best ways (proved to work) to entertain, emotionally fulfill, and train my kitty now that he'll be with me full time.
anything is dearly appreciated❤️ here's a pic of by best boy. he's a cutsie void that is smarter than he looks. sweet troiblemaker with a bit of trauma from not having his boundaries respected in the past
