Investment and Corporate Bankers and Contracts

I heard from a contact that his firm provides him as a corporate banker, a five year contract, stipulating things like salary, bonus and other information. I always understood corporate banking to be based on offered letters. Has anyone actually heard of a five-year contract?

Relatively to investment bankers have contracts and if so, what do those contracts look like anyone have a real life example to share?
