New to MCCi Fishing, a lil stuck/confused

I'm new to MCCi fishing, kinda, i mean i started playing a while ago, got kinda stuck and then just returned today and was wondering,

do you guys have tips for me? there's no tiktok tuts and stuff and i'm not good with implied institutions so.. I fish n i've bought new lures and string along with selling stuff but aside from that i have no idea what im doing.. any tips for advancing in the game or is that about it? i see people with cool hats and rods and was wondering are they good, also how do i set up a bucket for crabs and stuff??

All help is appreciated :D
