Grey Guard

I was thinking about playing a grey guard paladin in an upcoming game and I am looking for a race I have always wanted to play a LA race or template but never have and the DM allows them up to +4 any ideas for races or feats the character is themed around demon hunting? We start at level 8 (that includes the LA so I could play a +1 race and be 7th level)
