Canary Wharf or Canning Town?

I will be working next to Green Park station. I’ve found two almost identical rooms with the same rent, one in Canning Town, 3 min walk from subway, and the other in Canary Wharf, 12 min walk from subway. Would picking Canning town for the shorter subway walk be worth the trade off of living in a more nicer neighborhood of Canary Wharf? This is my first job out of college so I don’t know if the subway walk will eventually get tiring, especially in the winter.
