Im scared of having friends
Ive been distant most of my life, and i only had few friends. I didnt really feel like i needed it as my life revolved online where i can find people to talk to, some grown with me and some left. But i also have friends irl but i barely see them because of their schedules.
But recently, since i got a part time job, some of my coworkers started to talk to me which is like, a rare occurance because people just dont seem to give a fuck about me.
They were really nice and i enjoyed my time with them. I go along with what they wanna do after work and just laugh with them at most.
And suddenly i just felt weird about it and kinda scared. I had long distant friends that i constantly talk to everyday online and it just felt weird for me that now i have other people i can talk to.
It also scared me, because it felt like a commitment. Im not a person someone can always rely on, and my older friends knew that, but i dont think the new people in my life would be able to accept me.
Im just not the best best friend. I'll listen when i have to, but most of the time im the one to talk a lot. They dont know that side of me yet, which what scares me the most. I have too many things i hide from people who doesnt entirely know my personality.
