Mom is having a hard time with my AA - need help
I (22F) was diagnosed with AA mid-May. It has progressed a good amount since I discovered it, and I haven’t been home in about a month and a half bc of grad school. Now that I’m home, my mom (48F) comes behind me and tries to toss my hair around and cover any spots that show. She says it’s hard for her as a mom to see the spots, but I don’t mind them peeking out; I don’t want to obsess over them more than I already do.
Does anyone have any advice for helping me talk to my mom about her feelings? She was greatly in denial about the diagnosis too and was convinced it was caused by medication.
